Welcome

Welcome to the Wind Workshop, specialists in woodwind and brass instrument repairs. We repair and maintain instruments for individuals, schools, shops and other organisations.

Wind Workshop is run by Alex Stanley who is qualified with a City & Guilds Certificate in Musical Instrument Technology from Merton College, Morden. Prior to this training, Alex studied at the University of Leeds where she gained a Bachelor of Music (Honours). Whilst studying at the University of North Texas, USA, as part of this degree, Alex took a keen interest in the basic instrument repair class on offer. It was there that she realised she could use her skills in music and her enjoyment of doing ‘something with her hands’ to make a career. Alex currently plays flute and piccolo with the Merton Concert Band.
